If it's to replace and existing rack you need to know exactly which type it is. There are two basic types. The units built by Ford are 3 piece cast iron. The TRW units are 1 piece aluminum. My '37 Chevy has the cast iron power Ford type. When I replaced it 2 years ago I had a lot of trouble finding an exact match. After ordering a replacement from NAPA and then finding out that the steel lines ran on the top of the unit instead of the bottom and would cause interference with my bottom radiator hose, I finally found one at O'reilly's after checking every singe chain store in the area. They only had one listed, in a warehouse in MN and the core charge was $100, so they really wanted my old one back. Also, these units have 2 different lengths of input shafts, so you have to know what you have.
