Does anyone know how it went and how about the turnout?

GREAT WEATHER AND I WOULD SAY CLOSE TO 4000 CARS. A LOT MORE MUSCLE CARS THIS YEAR AND SHOWING OF A YOUNGER GROUP. THE VENDORS AND THE SWAP MEET WAS DOWN. TO BAD DES-MOINES AND SPRINGFIELD WAS ON THE SAME WEEKEND. JUST MY OPINION ON WHAT I SAW.
The weather was great. A threat of rain on Sunday moved the awards up about two hours, but the rain never came. Whipsold39 could be correct about the count....the highest registration number I saw was 3152, but I didn't concentrate on that. I agree that the car coral and swap meet was pretty low in attendance. Overall, it was a good show in a nice arena. Bad news....I didn't win a door prize, but worse, I bought some things in the registration tent with a VISA card, and the two young men running the booth couldn't figure out how to print me a receipt. In the confusion, I'm certain that my card didn't get returned to me, as it was discovered missing the next day, after the tent was gone, and the show ended, of course. So that's a mess I get to deal with on Monday.
Had a great time again, thankfully not as hot as last year. Perfect weather and we met alot of nice people as usual, the 'Good-Guys' staff people, including the owner, Gary, were very friendly. Funny thing you mention "younger" people, we are in our 40's and some people were referring to us as young!! Thanks !! Hope they realize they need the "younger" people to keep it all going.... The highest # we saw was 3104. Many more cars on Sat. Anyone get any pics to post ???
I DO REALIZE AND HOPE THE YOUNG GROUP WILL KEEP THINGS ROLLING. AS FOR ME I ENJOY ALL OF THE CARS AND IN MY TEEN YEARS DROVE THE 50'S AND 6O'S CARS I AM A YOUNG 63 YEAR OLD. MAYBE SOMEONE ON THIS SIGHT CAN GET A MORE ACCURATE COUNT OF THE CARS THAT WERE THIER.
