Well after 2 and a bit years and with the last 3 weeks working till 1am in the morning to have it ready for the show, its finished.
The bourbon was flowing in the small hours to keep our spirits high, the gararge looks like a bomb hit it with tools everywhere.
The right fenders and running board went on without a problem, but the left was a drama, the valance panel was in the way of the back fender and running board butting up to each other and after trying for what seemed ages,my brother John said plug the grinder in,
"I SAID WHAT" HOUSE OF COLOUR PAINT, BIG SHOW etc etc, "HE SAID PLUG THE GRINDER IN. I did and after 20 minutes of grinding the fender and guard butted up great without a trace of where the grinder had been, in that 20 mintues i had 3 bourbons.
When i saw my brothers face after all the people were admiring his car at the show, to me it was worth a million dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
