Yesterday some dirt bags broke into a house that I've got and tore it up big time. Spray painted everything, dumped cans of paint on all the appliances, broke 2 toilets valves and flooded the place. What's worse is that I've got it sold and is supposed to close escrow on the 11th. This could blow the whole deal. I'd love to have caught them in the act but I'd probably be in jail right now.

Really sorry to hear that Brady. This is a sign of the times - absolutely no respect for the property of others. I hope that you can resolve this and get back on track with the sale. I am sure that your insurance can handle this and, actually, present to the new owners a home even nicer than before (I always try to see a half full glass rather than partly cloudy [if that makes any sense]). Anyhow, that kind of thing just wrenches your gut

Sorry it happened my friend - good luck with the restoration and eminent sale.

What would be the icing on the cake is to catch them and have them spend several July 4ths incarcerated serving as some guys bitches.

You are in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that Brady. Hope you can get it straightened out soon and that they catch the clowns who did it.

Brady,

What a nightmare! I can imagine your outrage at someone f'ing up your stuff. It's egregious!

I hope your insurance and the flexibility of the buyers can work to finalize the sale of the house.

regards, Ken

Dang bummer.

Did you hear about the two teenagers that killed a cop here last week. Mr. White ran him down in a stolen SUV, Cops caught both of them at the murder scene. Seems that night, Mr. White strangled himself with his own hands while in solitary confinement.....gee, how did he do that ??

The last 2 days have been a bit stressful, but looks like the insurance co will take care of it. Buyer is still interested but seems to be using this as leverage for more concessions. Can't wait for this whole thing to be over. It's amazing how someone can just destroy property with no regards for the owner or how it can effect them. When I was a kid we used to do some pretty stupid stuff but never anything to intentionally hurt anyone or wreck their property.

I know what ya mean Brady, can't believe all the stuff I got away with as a kid, but never hurt anyone or their property while having fun! Street racing, ditching cops, dry ice bombs in empty dumpsters :-) and etcetera.

These punks will may never be caught but will eventually get whats coming to 'em. I just hope someone takes a few swings with the baseball bat for ya! Kids like this usually spend a lot of their adulthood in jail and prison.

Sorry to hear about your problems. Punks like that need a one way trip to the big house. Hope everything works out getting it completely resotred. And if possible don't let the buyer take you for a ride. Damages were not your fault. Might ask the buyer if he has any kids and where they were at the time of the destruction. Stranger things have happened.

Sorry to hear that Brady. A few years ago some really bright punks broke into some model homes and video taped themselves trashing the place. Cops caught them with the tapes. Not our nations best hope for the future. Hopefully these A** H***s will get caught as well. Hope everything works out for ya.

I feel for ya Brother, we've had our home broken into 4 times at three different locations, each time was just a Random act because when I called for the Police to come ,they said it would be a two or three hour wait because there had been several others in and arouind the same neighborhood. That was in Calgary Alberta, over about a 25 year period. It changed my LIFE. There isn't a day when I come home and instead of looking out for a family member or the dog, I gotta look at the basement windows to make sure they are in tact. And it's sad but I believe you can only do so much because if you do all the security BS that they recommend, you might as well live in a prison cell. That's not for ME. So, I live for the day that some little crackhead comes crawlin' in because he won't be commin' out! REALLY SORRY to hear of your misfortune.

Between rides now.........last one was a 36 Ford 5 window....2 inch chop .....old rod style......394olds....3deuce.....Zephyr trans....white "roll"interior ........sold it when I closed my rod shop in Denmark......left in 2005.....married a Latvian girl.....a doctor....then moved to Riga.....going to use the money to get a shop started up in the Baltic states. Hey.....any of you guys know about the biggest meet in Europe.....in Sweden....called "Power Big Meet"....named after the Power magazine.......this rod meet would really blow your mind !....10,000 cars from all over Europe and the US would show up !.....I won best of show in 93 with a 70-1/2 Z-28 that was totally restored......the next year I won 70,s class and it was put in the mag and on tv......there is at least 3-400 pre 1960 Caddys...in what they call Cadillac Row !

So.....if you ever wondered where all the early Caddys went.....now you know !!! I atteended that meet for 10 years straight ! When I had a subscription to hot rod in the early 60s......never could understand why they had Swedish Kroner on the cover price?Didnt take me long to figure that out ! Dont you guys remember Swede Tommy Ivo?.......or...how many Swedes had worked for Boyd in the past?..........my last US stint was working for Johnsons Hot Rod shop in Alabama in 05.......I was a mechanic during the muscle car years.......and into Rodding my whole life !!.........and really.....come on guys.......isnt stirring up a little "crap"....and having a difference of opinion is what democracy is all about?

Maybe its just a case of you guys have never lived in a place where you didnt even have to think about the word "GUN" ! So.....just because we may not think alike.........doesnt mean we arent brothers when it comes to rodding !.....we all turn our wrenches the same way !.......so....rc 57.....maybe you should grow up......and stop being gmans mommy !....I am sure he has his own pair !!

Ken, that's the first time you've come on here and actually talked about cars or "turning our wrenches the same way" and you're more than welcome to do so any time rather than being an anti-gun lobbyist (which is fine too) talking crap on a car site. I agree that everyone has an opinion so why is gman not allowed to? I'm not gonna get into an argument about guns because that never ends. Welcome to carland & I hope your new shop goes well. Hey gman..............dinners ready, get your a$$ in here! Dave- I never knew you believed in VW's.

Brady,

As a former builder, I can relate to your problem. I've had my share of missfortunes with homes. Just remember "What goes around, comes around". The a**h***s usually get their's in the end! Glad it all worked out for you..........CR
