After a not so long of a search, I found the perfect, made to fit, Power brake conversion kit for my 54 Pontiac. It comes from an outfit called Total cost Involved out of California. Was I ever glad to find this unit. It's pretty slick. She just slides right in (I hope) to where the old one was , under the floor. The only thing is , is that I need to cut a different access hole to get at the master cylinder to fill or check the fluid levels. Also When I can finally switch 'er over to Disks, I'll just have to add a Proportioning valve to the riggin' and I'll be away! It listed for 349.00 U.S. But with the freight and our 13 F#$%^&*'n percent tax, it ran me a little over 500 bucks. Small price to pay to be able to stop safely, don't ya think?? |
