Thought I'd show what my dash might look like. A fellow club member came up with a way to do engine turning on a drill press and I did it useing what I had. I'll try to explain how in my pictures. He did a peice of sheet metal for his fathers hot rod truck and stuck a Sun tack in the middle. It came out awsome. I did it with some aluminum and I still have to seal it somehow, any suggestions? I'll upload some picts on my pictures.

hey 41 I have just used regular car clear on aluminum on several occasions and it has worked good for me. I polished the bars in my 33 grille and then cleared them so it wouldnt be so hard to keep clean-looks fine to me..good luck.

I did a dash like that in 1960 on my 55 Chevy using a pencil eraser and grinding compound - took a while but turned out great (and cheap). Necessity is the mother of invention they say.

Your dash looks great my friend. Nicely done - and you done it yoself
