does anyone know of a front park light conversion kit to add a dual element bulb for the addition of turn signals on the 48-53 chev/gmc trucks? i have a really nice original truck in this week that had some "tractor lights" added to the tops of the fenders for turn signals. i shaved those off & would really like to converge the turns into the park housings.

thats the problem with the gm. the original housing slides thru the fender & has a piece of threaded rod running straight out the back that mounts the whole assembly. i have enough "scratch built" fabricating to do now as it is with the other projects. just looking for a quick fix on this one.

we sell a pair of diodes that allow for park & turn signals from a single filament light bulb. two diodes cost $12 easy the wire and no other changes are necessary. ronhotrod@yahoo.com

ron,

will that diode work o.k. with the original 6 volt system? sounds like that might be the best solution on this one.

as far as I know it shpuld. a diode is merely a one way current flow lock that prevents the current from from returning to its source. You should have no trouble on a negative ground system either 6 or 12v.
