I'm trying to make some plans for working on my dragster. I need to strip the chassis so I can make some repairs and make it look nice. Anyway, I was just told by the previous owner, that he had put a coat of POR15 over all the rails before he painted it. What do you have to do to strip that stuff? Will aircraft stripper remove it? If I have to sit and scrub all of that tubing with a wire brush to remove it I'm going to consider hanging myself first. Just to clarify, I'm stripping the rails only. The body panels are only good for patterns and willbe left as is.

Maybe the best idea would be to call the folks that make POR 15 and ask what they recommend for removing it. POR 15 is urethane based as I understand it, so short of calling the folks that make it, anything that will strip urethane paint should cut it (eventually). I'd be worrying about what I was going to find beneath it given it is intended as a coating for rusted surfaces.
