My 35 Chevy Standard has an 82 Corvette rear end that fit perfectly and a Mustang ll front end. Super driving car. If your ever behind a Corvette the rear end always seems to be working.
Take your wheels and tires, set them under the car where you wish them to sit, measure the distance between the flanges. This will give you a great starting point. With this you can compare different axles to see what will work. The axle of choice is a Ford 9". Currie or John's have them ready to use in lots of different widths. If you are worried about cost and are not having excessive horsepower then measure a GM 10 bolt from an S-10 pick up. they are fairly narrow and will allow you to run an 8' rim under the fenders.

I am using a Jag unit. Not recommending that. But if you do go that way-- look for a unit from an older Jag XJ-S as they are narrower. But the jag unit requires big offest on the rims. I have heard that a Maverick rear end is a PERFECT size and basically bolts right in. Also the GM 10 bolt of proper width is a good choice. MC

Ripp that would be a step back, the axle is not as strong as a newer 10 bolt. Measure up an axle from an early 80's malibu,Cutlass, they should be close to what you need.
