Anybody got a spare set of oars to fit a 32Ford. I think I am going to need them. Not really,my place is on higher ground but,if anyone is short on water,I got one heck of a deal on right now as long as you come pick it up. LOL Pat

Tell you what, I might just take you up on the offer. Here in South Central Texas we haven't seen more than a few drops of rain for nearly 90 days now. If my memory is correct only about .25 inches. Even the damn Arizona Ash trees are beginning to show signs of stress from the lack of rain and they're basically a desert tree.

All I can say is there is going to be one heck of a flood in a couple of weeks from Cairo, Illinois to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I seriously question if the levies along the Mississippi South of Baton Rouge will be able to contain it. I recall some real serious floods on the Mississippi in the very early 1950's and from what I can tell this one will make those look like a minor rise in the river.

Hey gang here's an update. The bridge I use to go to work in Iowa is closing tomorrow due to the high water. I need to change my wantlist to an airplane kit to fit a 32Ford. The levis in this area are starting to show the effect of the water.

Hey maybe you can find a good deal on a World War II Duck Jeep and eliminate the need for the bridge. Seriously, I wonder how many bridges are going to be basically unsafe when the water goes down. All that water running at high velocity has got to be taking a terrible toll on the rip-rap around any middle of the stream supports. As a Route 66 nut, I hope the old Chain of Rocks bridge at St. Louis has it in her to take another flood.
