I was at York on Friday and the weather was OK. A little overcast and not to hot. What was it like on Saturday and Sunday and what was the total attendance figures. I was a little disappointed by the vendors as there seems to be a lot more non street rod related vendors then ever before. The outdoor vendor row was almost non existent. Overall I enjoyed the show and intend to return next year.

Tim, I was there on Saturday only,HOT HOT HOT! But I still wouldn't miss it for anything. I don't believe the attendance was what it was in years gone by, but still pretty respectable. A few people said around 4,000. I too missed the outside vendors. Don't know what happened to them.

There were less than 4,000 vehicles. About 3,800 I believe. That's over 800 less than last year when gas was cheaper, weather cooler but with one day of rain. NSRA had projected a 5% drop (based on Knoxville attendance) but the drop was more like a 17% drop. On Friday, it did appear that there were less vendors in the Toyota Center, but on Saturday it looked more full. Last year, one side of Memorial hall was nearly empty, but this year both sides were 80% full, but not all were car parts vendors.

There were only 8 vendors stil outside where about 5 years ago there used to be 20-25 outside vendors. Last year most outside vendors moved into the A/C halls. Mequiars was still outside as they were in the past, but others like Edelbrock, Outlaw Performance all had moved inside. I have no idea what NSRA charges for space in the halls for the vendors with semi's, but I know it ain't cheap. A few years ago it was $1500 for a 10 x10 space and most small vendors couldn't sell enough in 3 days to cover the cost of being there.

We will be there next year unless either something catastrophic occurs or they raise the cost to $100.

Hey Bob - good to see you there. By the way, I could have kept my ticket in my pocket because I won exactly the same thing I win every year............Nothing!

Some vendors were really upset last year because they raised the rent, and it looked like some did not return this year.

I usually park between Women's World and the Crabcakes. Lost34 (aka Keith) was with me Fri. & Sat., but he was really "Lost" 34 on Sunday and didn't show. I think the heat made him sick. I saw Orphans (Bob) drive past us and yelled him down. Two of the other guys I park with, sold their cars Saturday because they both have more cars than garage space.

Anybody here the exact registration count? one of the NSRA guys told me it was about 3500, and of coarse more and more people with out cars are registering cars not there to beat the high cost of paying the gate fee all three days.

They always announce the registration number at the awards ceremony. I don't remember the number exactly, but it was nearly 3800 as Bob said.

I think it was 3786. That number sticks in what's left of my mind after 3 days of brutal heat. Really seemed like a lot fewer cars that prior years. Also, seemed like the spectator count was way down. You could cruise the fairgrounds any day and any time. Looked for my fellow SR.com friends but came up empty. Hopefully next year.

That was true in my view off the show . Way less spectators. I only had to run 3 of them down to get down the main street(giant grin).........CR
