I was out running errands last night with the kids and my buddy Jack calls me. He asks if I'd found a rear end for Victoria's '48 pickup yet, I said no. He said "come on over and take a look at this axle".


I showed up to see a complete mid 80's Trans Am rear end with disc brakes. The price? Free. Wouldn't take anything for it, just a donation for Victoria's pickup! I sure got a kick out of that!


Jack is a Vietnam Vet who lost both legs while serving there. While the kids were looking at Jack's cars he says "look what else I got." He rolls up his pant leg to reveal his brand new prosthetic leg... WITH HOT ROD FLAMES! Too cool! The kids went nuts, they thought it was the coolest thing they'd ever seen! They talked about it all night!


Anyway, great friends are sure a treasure!

Jack is 1 hell of a guy Eric.

Really enjoyed the time I spent with him when I was up there last year.

Good friends like that are hard to find.

Eric, That is definately a good friend! You're lucky to have him. Aquaintances are a dime a dozen, but true friends are a luxury......CR

Ol Bear, I'll be more than happy to express your thanks! Dave, she's getting really excited about the truck. She keeps reminding me to get the A bone done so I can work on her truck! She's in the garage with me most of the time, if not helping just keeping me company.
