Now that I have got the body off the frame I figure it would be a good time to replace the old 65/66 Mustang fruit jar that is mounted under the floor board with a dual chamber MS. I currently have Mustang front disc brakes and early 70's Corvette rear disc brakes. The current system also includes a small power Brake booster unit (Maybe 6-8"). Question is "Can I ditch the power brake booster, replace the fruit jar with a dual chamber unit and run manual brakes with 4 wheel discs?"

My husband put manual power setup on his car. You do push harder but it works.

make sure you get a master cyclinder for 4 wheel disc manual brake. It will work fine with the right components RED

I guess I should qualify my comment, you push harder than my factory disc setup. It is not like a weight machine or anything. I agree with Red, the right parts make all the difference.

Why can't you just bolt a MII master cylinder to the exsisting booster? I used that set up on my '50 Chevy (even with the small rotors) and they would paste you to the windshield.
