I have a 53' F-100 to fix tomorrow. It is almost all stock with a 216 OHV 6-cyl. The last time it was driven, about a year ago, it over heated. My question is, does the 215 have a thermostat? If so, where is it? The parts houses do not list a t-stat. Placed behind the water pump or in a hose? It was my cousins truck. He passed away about a month ago so I do not know many details of it's last ride. It's about an hour away soI'm tying togetall the info together before I go. Any help is appreciated!!!

check the upper radiator hose and see if it has a t stat housing , should have 2 bolts holding it.

Thanks Red. I just foud a 1954 Motor manual that I had in the garage. Shoot, it's just the same as andother six. Tim had said that it was behind the water pump or something....but it's right out there in the open.
