I am replacing valve seals on sbc. Second one in last 6 months. can anyone tell me why someone only puts them on the intake valves only. Found 4 umbrella seals on just the intakes and orings on the exhaust. I know the intake would tend to suck the oil, but if it is apart why not do them all. I always have. I replace the one side I did with umbrella seals and orings on all of the valves

I've seen gasket sets with all o-rings and some with umbrellas. I usually use the teflon lined umbrellas with the retainer springs.Used to come with Felpro Vette gasket sets, but you can buy them seperate. They work great and last forever.

I use the teflon lined umbrellas with the retainers on intakes and a hard plastic heat resistant umbrella seal on exhaust.
