If you take a blower motor that was set up to run at altitude (Denver) and bring down to sea level (San Francisco) would the tune on the motor cause it to run lean? The engine is a 327 stroked to 355 with a 6-71 blower ( running 10 under) and two 750 carbs with a FC compression ration of 11:1.

Too much carb-I run 600's or 500's on mine.

Thanks bigdude. I thought it had too much carb as well. But won't carbs jetted for altitude run leaner at sea level? I am worried about it getting too lean and hurting the motor.

You might have to richin it up, but I would put on a set of 500's or if its a built engine 600's. Example-I had a 355 with 202's and hot cam- headers- light car . Ran 500's on it and couldnt keep the front end from twisting up from torque at just slight throttle. Edelbrock recommended 600's-I ran 500's and still ran rich enough to make your eyeballs sweat. I think it was better with 500's than 600's -unless you are going to be racing.

Yes it will lean it out, you working with a setting the has more air in the atmisphere than what it was set up for thats the only change.add a little more fuel to the mixture and you'll be fine
