I want to get pin stripping done to the 34, is there anything I should look out for or not do at all? Will what I do hurt the value of the car?

keep it clean and simple, and also anything artistic will "date" the car,

My next question is if anyone knows of a good pin stripper on Long Island?

Nice car, I like it, As far as "dateing" it....... That thing is spred across the board. but if you post an interior pictures and some engine shots, I can give you a complete run down on it. Everything you do to one dates it,

I believe graphics are a thing of the past. They were popular about ten to twelve years ago. Another "dating" item is a tweed interior. Decent pin striping just seems to last forever.

Hey, Tommy......your car theme is slick, millenium. Do NOT do fifties pin striping. Our '33 Sedan Delivery has same theme as yours. Last year at Nats East in York Pa, Rosina had tiny flames done on the beltline for my birth day. Looks great.

I am like Tommy looking for something in good taste but very simple. I have a large area that is open in the rear of the car like Pat. I have trouble visualizing how something will look on the 32. I don't want a real complicated look. Something like my buddy had done on the truck would be great. Any suggestions?

Hey Jim, I like the tiny flames they look good. I was thinking something a little thinner along the belt line and something on the rear fenders around the 39 tail lights and maybe something up front. I like the look of the truck fender mcduff is showing. I'm not sure what color I want to do. Maybe ivory (interior color) and black on the red body and maybe a touch of silver. I went to a show today looking around (about 350 cars) didn't see anything that turned me on. Jim your right, simple is better. I really want to put somethong on the trunk deck but affraid it will be too much ..........Tommy

Hey Dixie, if it's that cool down there in the geriatric state you better think of moving to someplace warmer. Good luck......Tommy

You know with all that open space on all these great looking street rods it might be a place for a logo???

I don't think so. Would you put this on your door or trunk lid? If the answer is yes, I expect to see it by next week. HA HA. Nothing against SR.com just not my idea of graphics for a car.

Tommy, go to any graphics co. with a picture of your car, and they can simulate anything you want on a computer. They can move it around, enlarge it or shrink it, change colors, etc. and then you can decide on graphics or striping.

Hey Tommy, you have a car that will be "eye candy" the moment it pulls into a parking lot. Lots of people will come over to see what you have. I agree about not using the splash of big graphics. Subtle pin stripping would go good with your car, the kind that is not noticed strong at first. But when someone is looking in depth at your car they "discover" it as just another fine detail you have in the craftsmanship. Attached are a couple of photos of lines on my 40. Lots of times, until they go to the trunk, they never notice that it even has been done. After they find out, they look more. My car is not up to the quality of yours and others on this site, but I sure like it. In the end, do what YOU like.

scooting, what you showed me here is pretty much what I'm talking about. Simple and neat with just a little flair. Nice job.
