I/m gonna try, weather providing. This is the 1st time my daughter won't be able to come with me,but she has a priorty that has to be tended to.Guess i better get her a shirt!
Will be leaving for Springfield, MO next Thursday from Little Rock, Arkansas up route 64 thru Branson. It is always a nice drive and anxious to attend as it is always a great event with friendly people and park like setting!
hey brian, you know i'm going what time you think your going to be coming thru this part of town, let me know or i'll call you.RiverRat we need to link up this year are you going to do the fathers day show this year?
Hey guys, I'm in Ava, Mo right now, leaving early Sunday morning to drive back to Utah. Wish I could stick around for another seven days and meet you all, but can't swing it this time around. Have a great time!
Just a question for you that are coming to Springfield Mo. What will you be driveing so that I may look you up. I would imagine the cars in your pic's but just want to make sure. Since I live in the area I will be out to the fairgrounds. Thanks hope to meet some of you.
I missed the Mid America Nats for the 1st time in 10 years. I have been watching the weather..........and I think I'm glad I didn't go. A combination between the price of gas and bad weather has me checking things out a little more this year.
Picked up the daughter at Springfield airport Friday. Weather was nice. Kinda rainy this morning but got up to 80 and sunny this afternoon. Hope it was nice in Springfield. Sorry I missed it.
I took today off as a vaction day only to be awoken to tornado sirens and pounding rain just my luck. After about 4 hrs its was time to head up to springfield, I got back home at 11 pm after staying to watch the cruize after the show. Man there where alot of great looking cars and a bigger trend was the rat rods they are getting more and more ratty lol...I might be a little ticked if i had 50 thousand in a car and the ratrod next to me had 9 hundred and was getting all the attention lol..to me ratrods are cool but not for everyone. I seem to gravitate to the cars that had patina on em or ratrod black paint for some reason. Anyway it was a darn good show and i highly recommend if your in the area.
Yeah, there seemed to be a lot more black primer cars there this year. However, some of them were very tastefully done with good smooth bodies before the primer was put on.I thought some of them were really cool looking. But on the other hand, some didn't even have glass in them and they were allowed to drive them on the streets Saturday evening, little dangerous for the both the driver and other drivers on the road.
After the rain Saturday morning it was a great day for a streetrod show!!Sunday turned out pretty good too, except for the trip back home to Southern Illinois.Ran into a wicked storm about 35 mile from home,I was just behind the big hail, didn't get any damage to the rod but when i got home my daughter's car was pounded.

Got home today. What a ride on Sunday night. Made it as far as Des Moines and ran into a wall of water and wind. Couldn't see the road and could feel the wind sliding the trailer sideways. After a few miles of that we found a hotel and waited until this morning to come home. Was great to meet some of the faces from this site at the event. Hopefully everyone got home safely . I really wouldn't want to drive a streetrod in what we went through.

Hey Rich, look in the back ground of your pictures of mine and Gene's cars, that's us in back by Spanky's delivery. Sorry we missed you. Judging by the tool box at the back of my car I would say we just wrapped up fixing my door latch.
