I WANT TO REPLACE MY STOCK HEI WITH AN MSD HEI BUT DON'T WANT THE RED CAP. IS IT POSSIBLE TO SCUFF THE CAP AND PAINT IT WITH THE SPRAY BOMBS I HAD MADE UP BY TOWER PAINT?

I always wash the outside with dawn and water then wax and grease remover- scuff- wax and grease remover again- get some bulldog adhesion promter in a spray bomb at the parts store then your paint- it will stick good then.... good luck

you might want to try Krylon Fusion paint................... works great on plastic.

I painted one with out a lot of prep work and it lasted over 5 years as I sold the car. So if you prep it well it should last forever. I painted a black crossfire cap a burgandy color.

IVE PAINTED A FEW WITHOUT ANY LUCK ,,,I PREPED IT WITH WINDEX,THATS HOW DIXXIE TOLD ME TO DO IT !!!
