ATTENTION !!

The Pennsylvania State Legislature wants to pass a law removing all cars older than 1972 from state roads.

There will be a convoy to the Plaza at the State Capitol Building from the State Farm Show parking lot on Cameron St. at 8:30 AM, Tuesday, June 10, 2008.

The function will begin at 10 AM and will last approx. 2 hours. The purpose of the event is to call to the attention of the Legislature in Harrisburg the impact that such a law would have on the economy of the State of Pennsylvania.

PA, let's see isn't that the home of the Carsile auto events and what about the York Nationals? Oh wait, it is also the home to the Crayola factory, that must be what the legislature is using for writing instruments! Why not remove an age group (men over 24, women over 29---make a real dent in the man area, barely effect the women, hardly anyone I have ever asked is over 29)? Or just remove Stupid people? (nope the legislature would never remove itself). You really got to be kidding on this, aren't you?

They were out smoking and drinking some good S*^T when they came up with this one. What about the people that travel from different states to PA? Are they telling us we have to buy a newer car before we cross their boarders?

Al, I don't seen anything on this at the SEMA Action Network. Do you have a legislative bill number or is this just a non-bill proposal?? I did see one bill that wants to limit all show cars to only 5000 miles per year and creates a special class and plate for such cars. That bill is HB 2163.

Actually Joe, SEMA supports PA HB 2163. It does have some good points, but it also has a lot of restrictions that we don't have now. Sometimes I am not sure whose side SEMA is really on.

BTW, Joe will you be at York this year??

Hey O2--You gonna be at York this year? Any newer hotels opened up in the York area that may not yet be listed on the net. We're planning on being there all three days if the weather looks at least decent.

Pa by far is the biggest old car State on the planet. Sounds eronous. SEMA meets here at the Capitol Wednesday and Thursday. I will check it.

George, I plan to be there most of Friday and all of Saturday and Sunday. Don't know of any new ones that opened. Last year the Days Inn re-opened after renovation. It;s right near the intersection of 83 and 30. Do you want me to send you the info enclosed with the nsra registration or do you have it already? I could probably scan it and email it.

Joe - Sorry to hear you sold your coupe, but I knew you have had it on the market for a while. I am sure the Viper is wickedly fast, but it won't belong before the hot rod bug bites you again. Looks like I will be in Seattle when the Bloomsburg Car Show happens.

Robert--That would be great if you get the chance. To maybe make it easier, you could just fax to me @ 866.830.8429. That's a direct fax to my computer. Hope the weather holds up so I can bring the new roadster!

George, I will send it tonight. Regarding the roadster, don't forget to pack rain gear or a least a trash bag or two. ;-)
