Anybody know of a site where I can get a good clear wiring diagram for 87 olds ? Specifically looking for the steering column ignition switch plug configuration. Thanks

Contact Ron France Wiring and they will tell you what each color wire is for,they are great.I know someone will suggest someone else but I needed help like you do and called and could not believe how they went out of thier way for me.1-800-292-1940 and ask for tech,dept.

I am changing my 1940 Ford interior and purchased junkyard bucket seats out of a wrecked 6 mile Buick 2007 Lucerne. The wires to the seat controls were cut, a bundle of about 30-40 wires. I researched the diagrams through "Automotive Hobbyist" on line and in less than 10 minutes was sent a download of all the wiring diagrams for the Buick. It was very complete and a minimual cost compared to my chasing it down (I tried the dealer - phttt). Try http://www.ahdol.com and see if the year you are looking for is there. Bet it is.

wire as follows; (not in order,just correct colors codes) White - brake lite sw/ yellow - left rear brake/ green - right rear brake/ brown - 4 way flasher/ purple - turn sig flasher/light blue - left front turn signal & dsah indicator/dk blue - right front turn & dash indicator/black - horn relay (ground) the next blk&stripe and or pink was to key warning buzzer and the last black is also a ground Don't use those. If you don't have the harness plug portion, email me and I'll send you the column colors
