I want to install outside mirrors on my 34 ford. What I need to know is what type of round mirror and mirror arm should I use if I'm mounting on the door? I would like mirrors that look good and most of all can be used. The ones that are on there now are good for s__t.

I want to replace Igniition Wires on the 350 with a HEI, I need 90 degree boots for the plugs and 90s for the HEI cap. I want the color Red and long enough to make it look neet. I could make up the cap end. What is a good brand wire to use and where do you get them?

Thanks, Tommy

just be sure to back up the mirrors from the inside. suicide doors loose mirrors real quick.

Shine, I had planed on making a small plate to back up the mirrors inside the door panel. I just need to decide 3" or 4" mirrors and what type of arms.

most of those fancy mirrors only have a couple of tiny screws to hold them. when shopping keep in mind how your going to mount them. i use 3 in peep mirrors with the convex mirror over them.

the mirrors I have now are on the door front bottom of door window. I want to be able to cover the holes that are there now so I'm thinking about a 5" arm on a 3" mirror in the same place the old ones are on. You might be able to see what I mean if you go to readers rides and look at the car.

We ,as do most dealers, sell a 'swan' mirror that looks great and extends out far enough to allow rear vision, but not so far as to look ridiculous. They have a 4" round head and blind mount to the car. the arm has a double bend that looks like a swan's neck and extends about 5" from the body. Chrome and stainless Sell for @$54 pair

I am partial to Swan necks, with 4" so you can see who is following you Make sure to use a steel insert inside the door for support, the small screws can pull through the fiberglass a lot easier than you think.

I got tired of having the mirrors flop to the running boards when I closed the door so I went to the local motorcycle shop and found a really light pair for under $20. Work really great and stay where they are aimed.

Years ago I got a tool for making up plug wires. I use black wires and run them UNDER the headers. They sort of disappear that way.
