Their was a drop in regestration, this year about 2,850.. Still alot of cars for the change in our economy. Did not see any noticeable vender size change . They were doing very well from what I could see. I bought some Air Conditioning and had to wait to get helped. Lokar thurs night was great and the show days were great also. Small rain on Sat but did not last long. The only drop in size was the swap area and it seem to get smaller every year.

I wanted to meet you but never got it together.

I agree with Len and Dave. It didn't seem like there were as many vendors, though I did find some parts needed to finish the interior. It did seem like there was a higher percentage of cars for sale this year. After the show on Saturday, the wife and I went to Litton's. I even scoped out another '40 Merc although it was a convertable.

Any of you guys hit Littons in Fountain City? They have the best burgers and desserts in Knoxville (peoples choice awards).

If there was a drop in Knoxville's attendance I wonder how that will bode for the York Nats. York has been dropping ever year for the past 5 or 6 years. First it was because of the construction of the Toyota Center which eliminated a lot of the swap meet area and also did away with fairgrounds camping (no RV's anymore). Then the last 3 years it has rained at least one day out of the three. Before the construction of the new center attendance was about 6,000 vehicles. Last year was about 4,600 which was lower than the previous years. With gas prices, hotel prices and food prices all on the increase, it's possible that attendance will be lower again.

York always had a lot of vendors, but last year there was two halls which previously had vendors that were empty. I mailed my registration in later than usual and my number was 1704 which is several hundred less than usual. Guess I will find out in a month.

GREAT SHOW, FAIRGROUNDS ARE MAGNIFICENT. LOKAR (SKIP WALLS) OUT-DID THEMSELVES, BEST OPEN HOUSE I'VE EVER ATTENDED. CONVEINENT MOTELS, GOOD RESTAURANTS. CAN'T BE BEAT, O.K., MORE DOOR PRIZES/LESS AWARDS.

Dave,

That was a 40 Merc convertable on the back of the lake. He was having some brake issues when I talked to him.

Yeah,

It was a good looking Merc. He is from Ohio and the dust shield came off on the exit ramp in Knoxville. He ended up having to take the caliper off and was running on 3 disc.
