Hey ya'll,

Considering trying to find a WD-12 Coke cooler from the '50's and build a trailer for extra storage while cruising. What do ya think, and does anyone have one just lying around?

i have about 30 of the old coke chests here in nashville. round sided cavalier type boxes & the older square sided westinghouse boxes.my dad was building trailers for the rods a while back & stocked up pretty good on boxes. i also have all the info for the independent axle setup used to get the box down out of the clouds like the ones you see mounted on a straight axle. i can dig around & find a couple pix of his trailers.

all metal work done, blocking and blocking now , that fiberglass stuff for the shelby was a bear none of it fit, should be in paint this week or next had to stop and do other jobs for a few weeks. I will update the builders corner on this. RED

Hi Red,

The Merc is ready for the sound and heat insulation to be sprayed on. My brother-in-law changed jobs and is now only in the shop a couple of hours 2 days a week. Hard to get anything done when I don't know what comes next.

Steve,

I would really appreciate pics of a trailer or 2. How much would it cost a guy to pick out one of your boxes before the ghosts get them. Or even buy a older built trailer no longer in use (if you know of any)?

Oh yeah Red,

We have not been to China. We have been told it will be another 3 years. :-(

Maybe by that time we will have the Mercury done. Lord let's hope. Thanks for asking, the wait is long but when she comes home it will be all worth it.
