need a little advise,i just took a ,classic roadsters, 69 austin healey on a trade,car has been in storage for many years,these cars had the color in gel coat, finish has dulled over the years, is there any thing i can try to buff out gel coat to bring shine back, gel coat is excellent just dull in places,i know nothing about fiberglass.

3m super duty will buff it out with a wool pad.

I second what SHINE said, but another option that has been working for me lately is that I have been getting away from wool and starting with a red foam and I have been liking Meguires ultra cut. If its a true Gel coat like boats, I always lean pretty good on that right side of the wheel when cutting to the right. Doesnt burn like a thin clear coat.

Last year I buffed out my old Donzi but first wet sanded the really dull surfaces with 1000,1500,& 2000 paper before buffing with 3M. Gelcoat is super hard stuff.
