Hey guys (and gals). Anyone heading to Knoxville next weekend ( 5/1/08 thru 5/3/08) take note. I - 40 will be closed from the James White Parkway to the next 3 exits for about 6 months. If you are coming into town from west of Knoxville, you'll have to take I - 640 around the upper side of town to get to the East side where Chilhowee Park is located, the site of the show. The powers that be are suggesting we take 640 all the way around to the I - 40 intersection, then turn back west to the Knoxville Zoo exit then double back to the park. I'm sure there will be major headaches getting to the host hotel along side of the womens basketball hall of fame, but I guess we'll have to just grin and bear it! :) We are coming from the east of town, so we get off at the Asheville highway exit and go down Magnolia ave. I'm sure you can go that way, if all else fails. Good luck.........hope to see a bunch of youall there.

Any special trailer routes? This is the spot where I'd put one of those little smiley faces Dave if I could just find the little rascals.

I cant afford to pull mine. lol- I think I am gonna leave the 33 at home. I havent decided yet. We went to the grand run last weekend and the weather was perfect except a little rain sat morning. Knoxville has had a run of bad luck with the weather for a few years now.

The local TV station in Knoxville www.wbir.com has a spot on the closing of I-40 very good information. Its not a big deal. Just remember that I-640 goes around the top[ of Knoxville. As for trailer parking the parking deck next to the Host hotel has lots of space for checking in. The weather now looks good for next week. Hope to see everybody their.
