Anybody from Illinois have any damage from the earthquake this morning? (about 6:38 AM, our time) (5.4) We had a smaller one about 11:17 AM. Supposed to be 75 degrees today. Maybe I am in California and didn't know it.

When I was in the Army in 1968, I was sent to Ft. Campbell, KY. and on the first day all the new guys were in a big assembly hall for an orientation when the place started shaking & swaying. In about two seconds all the guys from California were outside. Everybody else was still inside trying to figure our what was happening. There were also a couple of pretty big ones in Alaska a few days ago. A 5.1 off Point Hope and a 6.6 off Andreanean Island in the Aleutians. In California, we like it when there are little ones every once in a while cause stresses aren't buildin up. Or so they tell us!! I just make sure nothing is stored in the garage rafters above my newly painted Model A.
