I hope the line is not hanging under the car bad idea anything fly up and break the line ( it being aluminum) and all your gas will go and hope exhaust is not close or a spark. Most fuel lines will be run from the top of the tank and the fuel pump will pull the fuel out. make sure the line is not all the way at the bottom of tank if it is all the trash will be picked up and placed in the carb. My bet is this is a homemade tank. One thing to remember when messing with fuel always be aware of fire and be safe. Hope this helps RED

You can pipe it direct, but if you can, I'd put in a crash proof valve, they have a check ball which stops the flow in the event of a roll over. i think 'Tanks' or maybe Speedway motors might be the place to find one.

A tank with the fuel outlet on the bottom is not a good thing. What are you putting it in? And were is it going to be located ? Like behind a seat in the trunk.

I bought this tank from No Limit Engineering. Its going in a 49 Chevy Pick Up. behind the rear end. After your comments i called them and they assured me "thats the way they build them." Now i am confused Don

Don, If you ordered a fuel tank for a 49 chevy P.U. the fuel line will exit the lower corner because the tank is made to mount behind the seat

bottom exit is illegal. a tank with a pick up on the bottom is going to have trash problems. bad design in my opinion. i would rather have a top line extended to within an inch of the bottom. what goes to the bottom.... stays on the bottom
