Sem is a qualilty flat black paint it is pricey but holds up extremely well I have been using it fo sometime now and it is the only semi gloss or flat black that doesn't turn chalky or spot from grease or fingerprint. Today when I go to the shop I will try and remember and get you the number. I believe they have a web site I will check Hope this helps RED
try a Yahoo search Sem.ws

I found the sem site and the kit is hr010 hotrod black. Sorry Crazyhorse im not to sure on the amount of flattening agent to put into it to get the right sheen i want,do you have a formula you follow? Thanks to all that replied ,i got an email from kirker and you can buy the hotrod black for under 100 bucks so im wondering if its worth a crap ,but then again you get what you pay for in paint.

Eric, Did a flat black roadster last summer with kirker. painted chassis first and assembled chassis while painting body. Painted the body and all the panels at the same time some of the parts looked like they "blushed" or had a whitish look to them in some areas but not entire panels. Ended up blowing the car apart to repaint including chassis which was a running , plumbed chassis. I usually spray Spies Hecker only but had read some good things about kircker, Will never stray again. Spies has a really nice "rallye black" that lays flat and has a real nice semi-gloss. This is a single stage urethane with flattner already mixed in.

As roadsterboy said---DON'T GO CHEEP. Only birds cheep, or is that chirp?

It'll bite ya in the butt everytime.

Dupont, PPG,Spies -all quality brands have a flat black or U'r paint supplier can mix it 4 ya.
