I recently listed my Nova for sale here on this website,(which is a GOOD thing.) When I got home today there was a message from a fella who said he is with Longwood Ind. , a 501c3 company. He said he thought he may have some people who might be interested in my car. My questions are 1) What is a 501c3 company? 2) Have any of you Guys or Gals had any dealings with these folks and if so , were they to your liking? and 3) are they a legitimate source for me to use to try and sell my car quicker? If you can shed some light on this subject I'd sure appreciate it ! Thanks a bunch!

501(c) is a provision of the United States Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C. ยง 501(c)), listing 27 types of non-profit organizations exempt from some federal income taxes. Sections 503 through 505 list the requirements for attaining such exemptions. Many states reference Section 501(c) for definitions of organizations exempt from state taxation as well.


Maybe he's trying to get you to donate it or something. I wouldn't return his call, nobody can represent your Nova as well as you can. A broker is guaranteed to screw things up for you, and take some of your money while they're at it!

I am with Big Dude, we have been trying to get 501C3 status for the bulldog rescue. I agree with the guys, don't settle at this point. Just hang on the cash offers will come.
