Since BF Goodrich has quit making 285/75-15 tires, does anyone know of an off brand making this size? I've looked through the major internet tire dealers and can't find big and little tires in 70 or 75 series. Thanks. Dan

Dan you might try looking for light truck tires. While they don't make a 285, Kelly Springfield does produce a 265/75-15 in that product category. Otherwise it looks like the only alternative to stay with the 285/70 or 75 is to go to a 16" wheel.

Did you check out Coker ....they do have a very wide selection of sizes and add new tires all the time. Just a suggestion.

I had very good luck going to sears. They had the 275r60x15 Kelly tires for 103.00 each. They special ordered them and they came in four days later. I am very happy with them.

I've tried Coker and Diamondback but they didn't have what I'm looking for. I'll take a look at the LT tires and I'll try Kelly. BFG still makes a T/A 275/60-15. They also make a 255/70-15 tire which is slightly taller than the 275/60-15. I'll probably have to go to 16" rear wheels and 60 series tires to get closer to the height I want. Thanks everyone.

I've tried Tire Rack, 1010 Tires, Discount Tire, Tread Depot, Performance Tires. No luck. The tallest BFG I can find is 285/60-16. I just like the look of a tall 70 or 75 series for the back tires.

Like everyone said, Check LT and SUV tire listings. You should find something close.

It may sound silly, but keep an eye on eBay. You wouldn't believe the number of tires that are sold there that are out of production! Lots of the BFG Sportruck TA's show up from time to time.

Eric is right.

That's where I got my last 2 sets of 305 70/15 BFG"s

Also pickup a set of 345 55/16's

all were BRAND NEW with the stickers on them.

B ready to step up though.

I bought 10 sets of 305 70/15's about 11 years ago, when I heard BFG was gonna discontinue them and thought

$2500 was steep.

Now their goin for $500 to $800 a set.

The last set of 285's I found a year and a half ago in a vegas tire shop and payed $375 for the pair

Good Luck

You can still buy those tires from Coker. They bought the molds from BFG and are making them as Silvertown radials. I bought a set about six months ago for 143.00 ea. They still say BF Goodrich on the sides. They are identical to the older BGGs

I just found the BFG T/A's on Coker's web site. I had searched under size and under black walls. Found them listed under Raised White Letter. But no 285/70-15 size. Maybe they made a batch and sold out?

Go to Cokers website and click on All News and Events at rhe bottom of the list. It will go to the press release for these tires with all the info. Call the phone number at the end of the article and you can talk directly to the sales dept. These tires were back ordered a long time on the west coast.

Jim,

What brand? How do you like them? I checked Tire Rack and all the 265/75-15's are light truck tires. I've been kinda concerned the ligh truck tire sidewalls may be too stiff for a high boy.

I talked to Coker today and they've discontinued the BFG 285/70R15 Radial T/A. They do carry a 285/70R15 BFG blackwall Silvertown radial.
