Flipping the drop axle

Any reason why swapping the springs from top of axle to bottom of axle to get a lower stance ?i know i have to change the spring perch but not a big deal plenty of clearnce .

from top to bottom will raise it if your moving the axle..

the axle will sit higher but the truck should sit lower ,like the flip kits they use to lower the full size GM trucks,spings sit on top of axle the flip kit allows you to put the axle on top of the springs right?

That is a great way to lower your ride, just make sure to get the pinion angle right when you weld on the new spring pads, and also check that your shocks don't bottom out in compression.
