We should be able to book on-line but she told me to use STREETRODDING for the group name and the web site asks for 6 characters only. So...I will call Kristin tomorrow. I am working to have the text removed. This is a cruise and all you are paying for is your room and food and any extras you want when you are here. We are meeting in Springfield (no boat required so far) and hitting some of the local Route 66 and or Lincoln sites on Friday. Friday night we will have our own party on the roof of the Hilton parking lot to watch the fireworks. Saturday we will have a breakfast meeting spot and then head out to Lincoln IL for their show. At 3:00 we head back toward Springfield with a stop off in Sherman for a cruise at Ray's Route 66 diner. This will be held in conjunction with another car club and the owner of Ray's so it will be free for us to attend. When we get done we can head back to the Hilton and those who still have some energy can check out the night life in downtown Springfield. Sunday we can once again meet for breakfast and say our good-byes. Anyone who wishes to stay on Sunday might want to view some more of the Springfield sites. I am currently organizing a coupon book for each attendee with freebies and buy one get one offers. Hopefully we will make this more like a get together with your friends. So plan to come and see your friends in Springfield!!! As for the counts, I will use the reservations at the Hilton to determine how many coupon books and goodie bags to prepare. Will be there Friday and maybe Saturday for part of the activities and then go onto Peoria to visit old friends and my daughters. Have not been back there since moving away almost four years ago.
