Big Al sittin back in paradise.

Someone turned me onto this today at breakfast.... before starting your next dirty project take a dish washing liquid and rub it into your hands, wrists and arms like you would a hand lotion.... after it dries go on about your business... later when you're done just wash up under the faucet and the dirt and grease comes right off.... I tried it today and it worked... ps get it under your fingernails too by scratching the soaped up area...

Not that you guys would know this but Avon makes a product that is a lotion called Silicone Glove you put it on before working and it keeps the grease and oil from sticking too. I used to get it in my stocking at Christmas.

Putting a good coat of lotion on your hands before getting greasy works good too.

I know a lot of us use Fast Orange Hand Cleaner as soap, but it actually works BETTER WITHOUT water believe it or not! Put it on your greasy hands, rub it in like you would normally wash your hands in the sink and wipe with a paper towel!

Laundry detergent works very well. It has more degreaser than dish washing lotion.

Forget anything you have read here if you are doing body work.

Ha ha, then you use a special little product called "skin remover".

I am a believer in using Kerosene to wash all my parts, and my hands if they are really really greasy. Downfall- they stink like hell for a little while. But they are clean !

I use odorless mineral spirits for my parts washer and extreme hand cleaning. Works great.

I've used a product called Invisible Glove since the early eighties. One tube lasts you a year or so. works great. My coworkers always ask how I keep my hands clean even though I dive into trannys motors and the like on a regular basis. Only drawback is if you get your hands wet. Slippery mess just like with detergent.

Luckily I don't do body work....leave that to the professionals. I will stick to the greasy stuff.

Years ago, I worked at a Jaguar shop during the day and a Chicken Delight store at night. Never worried about the greese under my nails cause every night I had to mix up great big batches of cole slaw by hand and that stuff is better than any hand cleaner and its great for your skin as well. Course I never ate the cole slaw!!!

Something else that works great is citrus air freshner, and it smells like citrus. works great when you're on the road and you need quick clean up.

The best one, have someone else do the work, you just drive it.
