I'm going to buy a pair of rear fiberglass fenders for my 39 Chevy. Any recommendations on the best company to purchase quality fenders? Thanks.

My buddy used Superior Glass Works fenders on his 39. I found them to be very good quality. They are an advertizer on this site.

Don, after you get the fenders and after you fit them do yourself a favor and turn them upside down and put several layers of fiberglass in the area aligned with the tire. This will prevent stars and make the fender much more durable for when the kids slide down them at car shows. Total cost is about $20 or so.

Don, I bought a set of rear glass fenders from a company called A-1 about 16 years ago . I'm real happy with them. No marks or cracks as of yet. The idea of adding does seem like an excellent idea! I think A-1 is located in Maryland.
