Big Al sittin back in paradise.

Because the axle tubes are 3 1/4 inches, and the fact that I wanted to use 2 inch lowering blocks, I had to have ubolts made... $52... also Chassis Engineering doesn't make brackets for this rearend so I had to go to the local junkyard and buy all the brackets out of an explorer...$50...story of my life...it's in now and bolted down.... some final checking then tack it in place, take it out again for welding...hopefully it's going to be worth all of this... :) so I've got about $600 bucks in this $300 rearend so far....

Gene...Pyramid made the Ubolts for me.... Carl welded the pads on today and I got the rearend back in and bolted down tight.... now I gotta start fitting everything to it and hooking up the parking break....I've never been so dirty as I have working on this rearend swap... I think that old gear oil goes bone deep....I'll sure be glad when it's done so I can get back on finishing the interior... I'm thinking Woody style for the headliner and the rear of the car...

Got the emergency brake installed on one side (took all afternoon).... didn't want to pull the axle's which would have made it simple....
