Adding to 29robert's question....... Have you decided upon the specific style of seat you would prefer?

If you're going cheap, a pair of Honda Civic buckets fit in mine. Dodge Caravan center seats are reported to fit well, but I used to have one and it wasn't very comfortable. If I could choose the optimal seat for comfort and quality I'd choose a Wise Guy's seat. They're priced a little less than Glide or Tea's, and I personally like them a lot better.

Yea, something out of a salvage yard that could be recovered. I'm thinking, low back adjustable bucket. My coupe has no interior,so I need carpet, door skins, headliner, the whole works. Trying to work on a budget,so custom made seats are probably out of my price range.

Al has some nice seats with built in belts, I think they are out of a Dodge or Chrysler.

Mid 90's Sunbird will fit good. The back was a little thick for me. I used the bottoms & I am making a solid back out of plywood & foam, to be covered at a later date.

Sounds almost like the old days when an orange or apple crate would do until seats were found...(Grin)

don't use dodge caravan seats, they have a tendency to break at the seat back. my wife has had 2 caravans and both of them have broke!!!

Low back bucket plus Junk yard... Look at Buick buckets from a big Buick, look at Caddy bucket seats from the 80s-90s, look at recent Chev Suburbans, look at Jaguar sedans. Might want to remove the headrest on some, might want to keep them, your call. Check these on ebay, you can find good leather ones really cheap, could be cheaper than recovering.

Good Luck - you will find them.

i had the mid 90's cavalier/ sunfire seats mentioned above in my 40 coupe. looks just like a tea's bucket seat. you will have to modify the slider mechanisms, as all four "feet" will be different lengths. check the local pull-a-part in the foreign compact section & find something you like. buckets at our local facility ar $19 each, so for $40 it should fit the budget!

I found some leather, power, heated seats at the local boneyard real cheap. They came out of a 2006 Trailblazer.

Steve. Keep in mind that Model A's are really narow up front. I was looking for Fiero seats for mine, but they're hard to find out here. There are other options, but they have to be narow and you probably don't want the back to be too thick either.

Several seats fit at the back. But A models get narrower as they go forward. The mid 90's sunbird & cavalier seats stay the same width front to back. Mine cost me $40.00 at a salvage yard.

Grand Am seats fit good and look good, I perfer to lose the headrest, I dont like to see them sticking up by the B-pillar, or through the windows, a decent set is about $200.

I've always found that a 5 gallon bucket works well. Not very supportive though.........

93 to 97 Ford Thunderbird or Mercury Couger seats. They have power or with out. Each seat is 21 inches wide. I cut the headrest off and and then cover. Have used them in 3 street rods. I never pay more than 450 a pair. Currently they are in my 46 ford convertible .
