Get off the trailer and drive

Got a new project and it seems to have a mind of it's own. I got 8 hinge pins and only able to get two out. Put them thru heat cycles, lots of penitrating oil, soak, more heat, etc. Then I turned my attention to the screws that hold the hinges in. Same thing! Using a hand impact tool and still nothing moves. Only two options left is to 1. give a 3 year old a popsicle stick and tell them not to touch the hinges or 2. Find an eye of a gnewt on the next full moon... Any ideas?

This car been sitting in the elements for a long, long time?

If you have to save the hinges for one reason or another the watchword is "Patience." Two or three of days of PB Blaster being applied along with a few gentle raps of a ball-peen hammer along the hinge every now and then may cause the pins to finally get enough lubrication you can drive them out.

try freezing them with that canned stuff from radio shack after a couple days of p b blaster, one good wack with the ballpeen, heat will expand the metal unless you can heat the pin without gettin the hinge hot, or you can grind the top off wedge a 2x4 under the hinge and poke it down from the top, good luck

I would try using a punch in a air chisel. Air chisels are cheap and they come with a set of chisel and punches.

they have a new(at least to me) penetrant out that freezes the part and breaks the rust then the penetrant flows in.

Everyone has given great advise here, but on my Car I was only able to get one out. I purchased one fo those Bob Drake Hinge Pin removal Tools and promptly broke it. I then had a Machine Shop make a few more of the pins for the Tool, and broke those as well, all while using either Heat, Pentrating Oil and anything else I could think of. I ended up drilling them out, and then I could use a Punch and still could not get one out-I replaced the Hinge.

Mine were broken in the Hinge side of the Car, and the top and bottoms were broken in the Hinge part of the Door-I didn't recognize that for a while, so if your Door opens you might check and see if your Pins are in three pieces-

the press out tool will not break them loose. it only holds pressure on the pin while you tap it.
