GOT THE CHEVELLE ALL PUT TOGEATHER AN RUNNING. HAD BOTH HEADS COMPLETLY REDONE DID'T WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE. HEADS WERE REAL TIRED SO IT WAS A GOOD MOVE THERE ,ALL CYL IN GREAT SHAPE GOT LUCKLY THERE ALL NEW ROCKERS PUSHRODS HEADBOLTS ECT. WHILE I HAD IT APART PUT NEW STEERING BOX AN DRAGLINK ON SURE DOES DRIVE AND RUNS GREAT .GOT IT ALL CLEANED UP & LOOKIN PRETTY GOOD, BUT IT WAS STILL A DUM ASS MISTAKE ON MY PART


DIXIE-------- O BY THE WAY I'M ABOUT $600.00 POORER----ANOTHER CHAPTER IN A DUM ASSES LIFE

Glad to hear you had no piston/cylinder damage, Jim. I say for $600.00, a BB complete valve job, a new steering box and draglink, you got off pretty easy. Now that you got it all spiffey and runnin good, drive the he^* out of it and enjoy. Caution,.....always be on the look out for Mr. Wallet. You never know when he might fall in love and offer you way too much for that Chevelle.

Dixie, glad you are back on the road with the Chevelle. Sounds a bit like it was a good timing for the rebuild anyway. Enjoy it, it is still better than a 56 in my book.
