I have an older couple that are going to be in savanah ga tomorrow and maybe this weekend. They have a 1929 dover truck it will not run on the gas in it. I can make it run with either but not on the gas in the tank. It was late tonight and I couldn't get the truck out of the trailer at my shop. I need someone that can help them out tomorrow or that knows of a shop in the savanah ga area that could help them out . Nice couple with a really neat old truck, just want to get it running again so they can sell it. His name is ronald borkhuis and his cell number is 423-773-4030 hope someone can help Thanks RED

Chances are very great the gasoline in the tank has gone bad. Today's fuels if left in a tank for 4 to 6 months will go bad, won't burn worth a flip. Even worse is the distinct possibility there is now problems in the carburetor. The float, main jets, and metering valves may be gummed up from the gas last in them evaporating to the point the varnish left just glued everything in place.

You might try a temporary source of fresh fuel going into the fuel pump. Of course the fuel pump could have also gone bad if the vehicle has been sitting for an extended period of time.

An update: I spoke with Ron this morning and they apparently drove most of the night and managed to get the truck down to a shop in the Tampa, Florida area. It is an old fuel problem as the truck had sat on a dealer's lot for several months on a consignment basis and was apparently never started from time to time. Problem as been isolated to being in the carburetor as fresh fuel is not getting to the engine.
