Anyone live around the Dublin Ohio(near Columbus) who would be willing to take a look at a vehicle a coworker of mine is interested in buying? It is a Little Red Express located at a dealersip. We are in central Pa and would like to be sure it is as good as the pixs and description say it is.

Let me know if you can help.

shawn, check your good guys or nsra fellow pages and find a rep close to dublin and ask them to go check the car out.

offer them a few bucks for lunch might help.

I've done this twice here in Oregon and enjoyed it!

Drive it like you stole it

Buster.

If you can't see it personally, I would strongly recommend you don't buy it. Take it from prior experience--someone elses eyes may not be the same as yours. Just my .02

REBORN55 offers good advice particularly when one considers the amount of wood that Dodge used on those vehicles. Then there is the condition of the stacks. The last one of those I saw personally about a year ago was an all original vehicle and the red paint had begun to fade pretty badly and the decals on the doors were beginning to crack as decals seem to do with age.

Thanks for the input. We definitely wanrt some hands and eyes on before any further decision about this vehicle. If the initial inspection looks good then maybe we do a road trip. there are some service providers for this but cost is steep but may be what we need to do.

My friend has a Warlock with 4,100 miles on it - it is pristine. He would like to get a respectable Red Express.

Thanks again for the input.

Shawn if you have someone else look at it, explain to them very carefully what is and isn't exceptiable to you. Ken brings up a good point. Not everyone see's things the same way. Have them look for major damage, rot and soforth. Have them take good digital pictures of the bottom and in the trunk and under the hood. Then if your still interested go look at it yourself. It's well worth the time in the long run.

Ken is right on. If you don't look at it yourself, you are going to get someone elses version of what the car is. To one it may be a good car, but to you, and remember it's your money you are spending, it may be a P.O.S. The real problem can be if you use someone you have known and trust and the car isn't what you thought it would be, based on the other persons eyes, you run the risk of damaging a relationship. Even though both parties have the best intentions, still you are running a serious risk.
