so what is out there to insulate the interior from the heat and noise that is not heavy but effective also on noise my truck originally had a swing windshield it was badly rusted the guy tried to save it and still leaked so he bonded the windshield it looks good then the cowl vent was semi filled so it gets hot inside from the engine heat
Chris - There are a lot of products around to do the job. Some are even pre-cut to fit particular cars of particular years. If we knew what kind of car you are wanting to insulate we might be able to lead you in the right direction. On the A/C any good rod shop should be able to head you in the right direction.
AH WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF STREET RODS BIG MOTORS LOTS OF HEAT.AND A PICK UP ON TOP OF THAT,ALL KINDS OF INS. OUT THERE JUST MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE SHINY SIDE DOWN IF YOU USE THAT STYLE IT WORKS PRETTY GOOD, HECK OF ALOT BETTER THAN JUST A RUBBER MAT . ROD SHOP HAVE IT SOME DIFFERENT STYLES AT HOMEDEPOT,REMEMBER IT NEEDS TO B FIRE PROOF, LIKE THE MAN SAID THE BEST IS LIZARD SKIN. BUT YOUR TRUCK IS AL;READY BUILT.

lizardskin if you want it to work. or you can put smelly roofing products in it ( which will burn ) . dynamat sucks and will transfer the heat given time. it's called heat migration. it will be as hot on top as on bottom.
