I'm looking for the inside rear window trim for my car. It's a 41 Buick coupe, model#44s, style 41-4227, body L967. The reason I'm giving all that info is because I don't know what will fit. As far ass I know it's a Buick Special coupe. A sedan might fit but I'm not shur all the rear windows are the same. Maby someone can tell me what parts are interchangeable. I'm wondering about the hood also as I might be looking for the opening mecinisum so it will open to either side. If you have either please let me know.

I bought some inside garnish moldings from a guy named Dave ....?..(Tacheny --- or something like that) in MN. He has a huge collection of Buick parts, but I don't have his info handy. I'll look it up tomorrow and get back to you, unless somebody else has the answer before I find it. You could also check with the Buick Street Rod Association.

By the way.........I checked out your photos of the '41, and I really love what you're doing with it so far.

There is a good chance that some models of olds, chevy, cad and pontiac might fit. They shared the fisher body and used different front clips, rear fenders, frames etc. A parts interchange book could help.

For what it worth the rear window looks alot like the one in my 41 olds.

And I like what you're doing with the Buick!

I found this story on the Hemming's website. It includes the info for Dave Tacheny and several others who have parts for '40s Buicks..
