I have a 1938 Chevy P/U with a 327 SB, turbo 400 with shift kit ,a 4:11 rear end from a camaro ,i want to change it out with a S-10 rear end with a towing package ,i work with a guy that has a S-10 4 door blazer with a 350/350 turbo stock rear end races it on weekends with slicks and nitrousand never had a rear end failure ,i want to change it out to be a highway freindly ,4:11 doese not cut it @2800 RPM /50 MPH plus it is narrow already what do you guys think?

I run a 2;79 in mine with a th 400., change the gear not the whole rear housing.

check the s10 gear ratio, some of the blazer's had high ratio's to go with their overdrive trans. measure the width to see if you have to move your spring mounts inboard. it might be easier to just get a lower gear set for the axle you already have.

If you're interested in a change out unit, I have a 1999 S-10 Blazer rear end for sale. It has 3:73 gears, factory posi and rear disc brakes, with only 50k miles on it. $ 450. I can send pics if you're interested.

thanks for the info guys i have a buddy that can check the specs on these rear ends, as far as moving the perchs it is not a big deal for me i have been installing custom suspensions on trucks and cars for years Sach the deal sounds good but what about shipping?

Shipping presents a problem with another expense. I had plans to be in Port Charlotte in March, but nothing definte. I could bring it that far if my plans hold up.
