Jim be sure to take plenty of pictures and let us know about this fun event. We will take some pictures for you of our adventures in Springfield. Looks like about 15 so far for Springfield! Still waiting on hotel info. Trying to get us a cheap rate for the Hilton downtown.

Jim you will be headed up the east end of lake Ontario, if you run at dusk, watch out for moose and deer. Saw a bull moose up that way on the way to Burlington Nats a few years back, right up near the thousand islands area.

Brian,

I had reservation at 66 also. I called and cancelled when the word came out that the show had been cancelled. The Hotel told me that the reservation had already been cancelled. She said "someone one from the group had already cancelled for me" ???

When I canceled the show they did that, I didn't ask them to. I will not have hotel info until this week. We are looking at the Hilton but the 66 is still in the running.

I was suppposed to have 6 rooms booked and I had 6 conformation numbers but when I was cancelling my rooms they said I only had one room (will I get billed later???). My point is that this hotel may or may not be compent in giving us what we want. Still interested in making it over and meeting some of you, not sure yet if I can drag along anyone else.

Jim, those eastern Ontario moose aren't that big, they only run about 1600 pounds. As for the Brian/Tammy show, we will probably leave around the 27th and go down through Indy to St. Louis and back up to Springfield for the 4th. Cathy has never seen St;Louis so I will take her up the arch and have a look around.

Been up in the Arch. If you have a fear of heights, it ain't for you! You can actually feel it swaying. it is one thing not to miss if you can take it. Oh, don't be claustrphobic......... you go up in these little egg shaped enclosed cars that are on a self leveling ratchet system. That can also give you fits.

sounds like a fun ride. heights are ok for me, i've even helped string an antennae out on the roof of the Skylon Tower here overlooking the falls. about 400' up. We are basically looking to explore some of the midwest before my wife goes back in for her second knee replacement in the fall.

I finally went up in the Arch. I am terrified of heights and very claustrophobic but my daughter was there with her girl scout troop and I did not want her to be afraid. Since I am trying to win a mother of the year award I talked myself all the way up and I am so glad I did. It was fantastic to see the view and to now see the arch and say-"I have been at the top!" Here are some shots we took. The girl holding the doll (the blurry one) is my daughter Zoey.

Should be out there around the Saturday evening, 28th, will be hanging out until the 3rd then over to Springfield. We have no plans, the wife and I just pick a destination then figure out what to do when we get there. I am going to try and give her a look at some of the area out to Rolla and around St.louis.
