Has anyone out there ever installed a so-cal windshield on a 32 Gibbons glass roadster body. They used to make 3 different windshield frames and each one was for a different application.Steel body,Westcott and Gibbons. Now they only make one for all applications. Was just looking for some tips as far as modifications to the frame or body for good fit.Called so-cal and they kinda said they just make the one and it can be done and that was it .Asked if they could refer me to anyone that they know of that had installed this application. They said no.Da! $1400.00 dollars later and they can`t tell me anything. So before I make any modifications to this frame I`am gonna do my homework the best I can.Would appreciate any info. Thanks

How about contacting Gibbons and ask them what windshield they recommend for THEIR cowl. You are right that they are all different but I guess thats what makes them all unique. Good Luck

Hi Duecester! I make "Topsters" for 28-32 Ford roadsters and I've found that there definitely are diferent sizes of SoCal frames out there, so we decided not to bother with doing Topsters to fit them - just the possibility of too many hassles. A friend of mine has one on his roadster but it's a Wescott body so probably diferent. Sure, "there's a way to make it fit", but without cutting it etc??? I've found that a LOT in the aftermarket - people just don't have the time for you after you buy their product! Shouldn't be like that! Good luck!
