I willing be attending a wedding with my wife on Saturday May 3rd. I want to drive my coupe to Virginia from Boston. I thought this would be a great time to "work in" a little sight seeing or street rodding, either the week before or week after that date. This will be my wife's first long ride in the coupe so I hope to make things interesting for both of us. Any suggestions on sights or shows during that time period? Thanks to all.

Do not miss the Blue Ridge parkway. First, it's not a high speed superhighway, second, the roads are nice and free of commercial traffic. Watch for deer about an hour before sunset, they will wonder out in front of you. Stress free driving with many turnouts and some of the finest views you will ever see.

Bernie, definitely take a walk in the caverns on the way through Va. Just be careful if you take the Blue Ridge.........it was too much for my wife's tender tummy......lots of twists and turns. There is also a museum that the mrs' really enjoyed it was beside one of the caverns and was filled with former Rose parade floats and vehicles.

Thanks, Ive wanted to do a part of that "Parkway" for some time. The caverns sound kinda KOOL. I think I would have blown them off if you guys hadn't recommended them. My 47 is always a work in progress. I'm installing an O.D. trans in the coming weeks. That will help the crusin'.

Bernie, you should check out the PeaksofOtters just about 45min-1hour away from Roanoke near Bedford. Also if you like water you have to go to Smithmountain lake. About 20 years ago when I lived there downtown had a lot of good attractions.
