It is a 1952 chevy panel truck. I ended up buying it from the owner because he wouldnt sell any parts off of it,he was in the process of scraping it. The body fell apart during the short move. We did'nt see that coming.

So you brought this home, why? Actually that is one of the first field trucks i've seen without the grille bars all bent up. It looks like you can save the stainless trim on the passenger door too!

i needed a bumper and to turn signal rings. the owner said all or none. i hated to move it but he was going to have it removed anyway. the grill was actually in really good shape, not bent at all.

Looks like another one of those "No it's not for sale, I'm going to fix it up one day" stories that has turned from rust to dust. We have a legend disaster story here in Charlotte, of a '40 Ford deluxe coupe that has sat in the owner's gravel driveway for 40+ years. He still claims he''s going to fix it up one day. Sad truth is, it's too far gone. Any attempt to move it now would result in it just calapsing in a dust heap. We have all seen this happen more than once. It's enough to make you cry. Well,......almost.

We have the same problem down the street from me. My former machinist died suddenly and shocked his wife very badly. It has been two years this March and she won't sell his Ranchero's (I think they are 1960's vintage) and they are going to be piles of metal by the time she does. She thinks they are worth a mint because he did and I am so sad to have her find out that they are too far gone. Wish I could find her a buyer for the parts before it is too late.

the panel was actually free, i cleaned up the area around he panel. But the tow truck cost me $100. I still have the complete frame that had 3 tires with air still in them. im actually wanting to sell the frame for whatever i can get out of it. I really only neede the rear bumper for the panel that im working on.
