Was my 1st Nationals. I was blown away. I have only missed 3 Nationals since. I could not belive Andy Brizio and Jerry Stitch drove that T-Bucket and the C-Cab Wrecker all the way from California.... They were Show Cars Back Then...

I figured this would stimulate some good memories to help beat the cold. Thanks to my wife Cathy who scanned them all into the computer and to Eriq who took the time to post them for us. Just try and compare the differences between today's nationals...........a lot of changes since back then.

Dave.

Man I wish I would have had a car guy for a Dad, this looks like it was so much fun!! The wild paint jobs, the great looking cars! If I had just been a little older (I would have been 7 in 1972) I am so grateful to see the pictures!

I can attest to 2 of the cars in the pics. The 34 primered sedan that we took is still driving around in New York state it is Gold with brown fenders now. The 34 Chev coupe is still owned by the same guy here in Niagara Falls.
