I'm been meaning to ask this for some time. I think I'm going to try using "screw-on" full Moon disc on my coupe. The snap on ones dont float my boat. Years ago I tried drilling some wheels an using sheet metal screws that broke right off! Do I need to drill and tap the three holes. Like say 10/32 or so? Stainless fasteners fo sure. And when I decide to swap back to trim rings and caps will those holes present any leak problems? NO I wont drill thru the tire bead....DUH !

just follow the instructions the caps come with the correct screws and you won't have any problem. no leaks if screws are removed

if the screws broke before it is most likely that the pilot hole was too small. A sheet metal screw is for just that, sheet metal, the rim is too thick and the screw bit in and snapped. In thicker metal you have to have the right size hole so that the screw gets a grip without trying to cut a deep thread.
